Crossed The Tiber

An Evangelical Converts to Catholicism

My Photo
Location: Pennsylvania, United States

I was born into the Catholic faith. At 14, I was "born again" and found Jesus personally but lost His Church. After thirty years as an evangelical protestant, I have come full circle to find that He has been there all the time, in the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. I wish others to find the beauty and truth of the Catholic faith as I have found.

Prayer Changes Things

"In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit:
Heavenly Father, You alone have the divine power to vouchsafe the election in America for the forces of goodness and life. Relying on the perfect promise of Your perfect Son, we implore you to mobilize the Holy Spirit to battle the forces of evil in our beloved land and to bring forth Your Perfect Will for this election. Send the Intrepid Saint Michael and all the warrior angels from heaven to fight for life and justice. We beg for the intercession of all the martyrs in heaven; for all holy souls who have shed blood for Divine Love. So far as You, Almighty God, have dominion over the affairs of men, let light triumph over darkness."

Our Lady of Guadalupe
, Patroness of the Americas, pray for us.
Saints Katharine Drexel and Elizabeth Ann Seton, pray for us.
Saint Thomas More, Patron of Politicians, pray for us.
Immaculate Mary, Patroness of the United States, pray for us.
Saint Joseph, Defender of Families, pray for us.
Holy Spirit, Guide Us on Election Day.
Jesus Christ, King of Kings, we adore you!

Though this election didn't bring the results I'd prayed for, especially in Missouri and South Dakota, one thing I know: GOD IS ON HIS THRONE! Our Blessed Mother has not abandoned us! We must PRESS ON and keep pressing on. Rejoice in trials and tribulations. We as the Church must not fall into a "gloom and doom" attitude. We must continue to LIFT UP CHRIST to this darkened world. We must not falter in our steps, to the point of despair. We shall overcome! We are in the Church Jesus established and the gates of Hell will NOT prevail against Her! As we bring Christ to others the moral blindness of this country and it's choices will crumble, but we can't be lulled to sleep now. Let us take up our cross and follow the Lord today, praying and praying all the more for the blind to see and the deaf to hear, and loving the "unlovable" to Christ and His Church. "HOLY MARY MOTHER OF GOD PRAY FOR US SINNERS NOW AND AT THE HOUR OF OUR DEATH." AMEN.
