A powerful statement and one with which I can agree to some extent. Our sins are great. However, I do struggle with the issue of America as a country; when bad things happen, is this an indication that we are under God's judgement now for those sins? I'm not sure. If that's true, then most of the third world has been under heavy, sustained judgement for decades and centuries, has it not? And for what? Could it be that 9/11 was necessary as a wake-up call for this country to come face-to-face with the greatest evil of our time as God's instrument of justice? We are terribly flawed, unquestionably. God uses terribly flawed individuals and nations to carry out His will. I wonder, what other earthly national power has God raised up to face this evil? I don't know...I don't know...
Amen.
