An Evangelical Converts to Catholicism

My Photo
Location: Pennsylvania, United States

I was born into the Catholic faith. At 14, I was "born again" and found Jesus personally but lost His Church. After thirty years as an evangelical protestant, I have come full circle to find that He has been there all the time, in the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. I wish others to find the beauty and truth of the Catholic faith as I have found.

The Myth Of Hitler's Pope

One of the myths regarding the Catholic Church that continues to be perpetuated is the myth that Pope Pius the 12th was in league with the Nazis during WW2. I found this short U tube that may help dispel the myth by presenting some facts, particularly weighty, because they are from Jews who lived during WW2. Of course, 3 minutes of a U-tube video can't be used as "case closed" argument but it presents a few facts that a rabbi researched and wrote a book on. He is not a Catholic convert, BTW. I saw his interview with Raymond Arroyo on EWTN last year.

I've been wanting to read that book for some time. I have more than once picked it up off the shelf and Barnes & Noble and perused through it. I first heard the book discussed by Dennis Prager on talk radio. Dennis, also, is Jewish.

Once again, a feeble attack against Christianity rather than against the historical enemy of Judeo-Christian values, the Muslim.

In World War II, Muhammed Amin al-Husseini, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem (essentially, the religious and political leader of Arab Muslims), became a chief advisor to Adolf Hitler in his fanatical desire to exterminate Jews. In 1941, al-Husseini led a pro-Nazi revolt in Iraq and then spent the rest of the war in Berlin as Hitler’s anti-Jewish advisor.

The Nuremberg trials uncovered a vast conspiracy between Nazis and Muslims to exterminate Jews. During these trials, Dieter Wisliceny, Adolf Eichmann's deputy, testified to the following:

“The Mufti was one of the initiators of the systematic extermination of European Jewry and had been a collaborator and adviser of Eichmann and Himmler in the execution of this plan. ... He was one of Eichmann's best friends and had constantly incited him to accelerate the extermination measures. I heard him say, accompanied by Eichmann, he had visited incognito the gas chamber of Auschwitz.”

At Nuremberg, Wisliceny was found guilty and executed as a war criminal.
In 1960 Adolf Eichmann, the SS Officer responsible for the mass deportations of Jews to concentration camps and their subsequent murders, was found hiding in Argentina by Israeli Intelligence, taken to Israel, tried and hanged.

The left’s continued focus on the Pope and their refusal to recognize the true danger is troubling. The attack on Christianity, specifically the Catholic Church, is in full frontal assault and will continue to include lies and other revised historical events in an attempt to discredit and destroy His Church.

Jacob: Thanks for the post. The connection between Hitler and the Mufti is downright chilling.
No surprise that no one brings up this aspect of WW2 history in our day of political correctness
