Crossed The Tiber

An Evangelical Converts to Catholicism

My Photo
Name:
Location: Pennsylvania, United States

I was born into the Catholic faith. At 14, I was "born again" and found Jesus personally but lost His Church. After thirty years as an evangelical protestant, I have come full circle to find that He has been there all the time, in the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. I wish others to find the beauty and truth of the Catholic faith as I have found.

RUSS! You have done it again. This time you were stirring my heart. On the edge of a tear trickle :)

One of your most beautiful songs on so many levels.

It is funny, I was just thinking about being submitted to the will of God in all things... I mean only moments ago. God has such wonderful timing!

At first I wasn't sure of the pace of the strum... unusual with the rhythm of the vocals, but it then it just clicked... really great!

Russ, with your permission, I'd like to use this wonderful song of yours at the John Paul II Reading Group this month and next month, when we read Salvifici Doloris (like I mentioned when I stopped by a few weeks ago).

That song, with the prayer on which it is based, will be an excellent stepping stone into the Apostolic Letter on redemptive suffering, and I think the other participants will be edified by it.

Jeff, I would be honored, and quite honestly, your post is an anser to prayer as I am struggling with how to "promote" and "market" this new CD. My thoughts and prayers lately have been thinking that it may be useful for RCIA or adult education, vs "entertainment" .
So plese feel free to use it. Would you like me to send you a "pre-release" disc with all the songs?
and then when I get the full CD with graphics, I can forward that to you as well. Just let me know, I can get the mastered CD out to you in a couple days.
God bless, thanks again
Russ

I'd love a mastered copy. Send me an email, and I'll give you my mailing address.

I hope to be back out in PA sometime this month (though I have no idea if and when that'll happen), to give my parents and the Bishop emeritus copies of my book (Deo gratias!!!), and to visit you again.
