Crossed The Tiber

An Evangelical Converts to Catholicism

My Photo
Name:
Location: Pennsylvania, United States

I was born into the Catholic faith. At 14, I was "born again" and found Jesus personally but lost His Church. After thirty years as an evangelical protestant, I have come full circle to find that He has been there all the time, in the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. I wish others to find the beauty and truth of the Catholic faith as I have found.

Reformed Pastor Jason Stellman Comes Home

Here is Jason's recent appearance on The Journey Home with Marcus Grodi. When he decided to learn about Catholicism from Catholics vs non-Catholics it made all the difference in the world. Also, he could no longer accept solo scriptura as a valid principle.
His conversion last year made quite a stir in the blogosphere. It's not every convert who gets songs written about him!

This interview is so wonderful! Jason actually consulted with some prominent anti-Catholic apologists, asking them to talk him out of converting. He found their arguments against Catholicism unconvincing. If you get your Catholicism from those apologists, of course you think the Catholic Church is a joke. But if you consult with "someone who loves [the Catholic] position," as Jason puts it, to find out what Catholics REALLY believe, you will find Truth and Beauty, and a very deep relationship with Jesus Christ.

What a wonderful time it is to be Catholic!

I saw this yesterday, and we were discussing at dinnertime. He filled up the time well.
