Crossed The Tiber

An Evangelical Converts to Catholicism

My Photo
Name:
Location: Pennsylvania, United States

I was born into the Catholic faith. At 14, I was "born again" and found Jesus personally but lost His Church. After thirty years as an evangelical protestant, I have come full circle to find that He has been there all the time, in the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. I wish others to find the beauty and truth of the Catholic faith as I have found.

What's Good For The Pope.....

God bless our Holy Father Pope Francis! He continues to be a model of the Christian life for all of us. Rather than just teaching us that it is good to go to confession, he shows us!  Despite what his detractors say is a publicity stunt, I would rather believe that Pope Francis is guided by the Holy Spirit and felt strongly that he needed to confess.   Two weeks ago I walked by that very same confessional!  The pope was at a Lenten retreat when were at Saint Peter's so we didn't have the opportunity to have an audience.

Actions speak louder than words. If this worthy man needs to go to confession, the rest of us surely have no excuses left.

Amen! The saddest thing is that confession is the greatest grace available to us, (next to the Eucharist) empowering us to be saints even, yet so many avoid the sacrament like the plague. God have mercy!

watch the look on his face -- it is clearly a last-minute decision on his part, not something planned for publicity!
