Crossed The Tiber

An Evangelical Converts to Catholicism

My Photo
Name:
Location: Pennsylvania, United States

I was born into the Catholic faith. At 14, I was "born again" and found Jesus personally but lost His Church. After thirty years as an evangelical protestant, I have come full circle to find that He has been there all the time, in the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. I wish others to find the beauty and truth of the Catholic faith as I have found.

Staind Glass Windows Slide Show

Two converts to the Catholic Church with a very similar journey as mine have put together a beautiful slide show of stain glass windows from churches and shrines in the Midwest. They like myself have fallen in love with the physical as well as spiritual beauty of this Church and now blog about it on a regular basis on ReCon(Revert-Convert). It is a great blessing when you meet other converts who have been set afire by God and have crossed the tiber in a similar fashion, yet separated by half a continent! Enjoy their video and do stop by ReCon to say hello!

Good Morning TJ! WOW you are quick! We were delighted to come in this a.m. and read your email and to find it on your blog. However, it's taking a very long time to load, about 18 mins so far. I wonder if it'll be quicker once it loads a time or two?

Thanks so much for this gift.

You're a blessing to us and we hope to meet other reverts and converts on line. We're off to see Scott Hahn at our parish, St. Robert Bellarmine in a couple of hours, so GOD BLESS and thanks again for your friendship and prayers!

Mine seems to load ok?
Maybe u tube servers were slow this AM.
I will pray that your time is fruitful with Scott Hahn. Prodigal daughter saw him when I was in Haiti and he was great. His Rome Sweet Home book was very helpful in the journey.

Our time with Scott was very fruitful indeed! He was "spot on" and the parish was so greatly blessed! We had about 860 people and we all got fed! In MORE WAYS than lunch boxes! First the Blessed Sacrament of Mass at 8:30 a.m. then Scott's talk (his conversion story and Revelation) Then Lunch boxes from about 5 different caterers and then his talk on Confession and Divine Mercy! WOW! What a chock full day of TRUTH! Praise God!

Thanks for your prayers, and I would invite everyone who stops by here, to "COME TO OMAHA!" GREAT things are happening...come to the Holy Family Shrine and be blessed by the beauty and quite, and Holy Hush on a hill outside Omaha, where Jesus dwells in a lovely, serene prairie Tabernacle! Come visit us at KVSS where we are expanding by God's Holy Spirit and now will have two more stations to reach Iowa and further west in Nebraska! Pope Paul VI Institute where couples are learning how to be married and open to Life, by GOD's design for marriage and families. The Institute of Priestly Formation, which is the reason Scott Hahn came to Omaha. He's a true supporter of that institute that is helping train and teach priest and form them in TRUTH TRADITION and ORTHODOXY! There's so much more. AND if you come, give us a call and we'll take you to see some magnificent prairie Catholic Churches where early pioneers and forefathers and mothers in the Faith built such resplendent Houses of God with blood, sweat, tears and much prayer. These lovely houses of worship need your prayers to keep them "open" and not fall into disrepair.

Sorry to ramble. This churches with the lovely stained glass windows just melt my heart with love and grace when I enter them. We would love to show you around.

Peace of Christ to you TJ, PD, and everyone.
