Crossed The Tiber
An Evangelical Converts to Catholicism
About Me
- Name: Russ Rentler, M.D.
- Location: Pennsylvania, United States
I was born into the Catholic faith. At 14, I was "born again" and found Jesus personally but lost His Church. After thirty years as an evangelical protestant, I have come full circle to find that He has been there all the time, in the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. I wish others to find the beauty and truth of the Catholic faith as I have found.

Praying, praying, praying! The thing protestants forget is the little word "if." If you acknowledge your sinfullness and REPENT, REPENT, REPENT, then all your sins will be forgiven.
Kinda like the sweepstakes--they always advertize--YOU ARE THE WINNER, if, you are choosen from about a billion others.
Indeed such a horrific crime and tragedy. I've prayed for him and the injured and the victims now passed on to eternal life...we pray. What's also a "crime" if I may be so bold, is the teaching/belief/doctrine taught in so many fundamentalist, evangelical, and other faith communities that 'nothing you do can make you lose your salvation.' It's a horrendous heresy spouted in churches all over the world, but especially in fat, selfish, self-centered American ones, by self-appointed prophets. They've misguided so many lambs and sheep down trails to hell. Better for them to have never been born, the Lord said!
