Crossed The Tiber

An Evangelical Converts to Catholicism

My Photo
Name:
Location: Pennsylvania, United States

I was born into the Catholic faith. At 14, I was "born again" and found Jesus personally but lost His Church. After thirty years as an evangelical protestant, I have come full circle to find that He has been there all the time, in the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. I wish others to find the beauty and truth of the Catholic faith as I have found.

Prayer Requests

A young married couple in our former church lost their 1.5 year old yesterday. She developed respiratory difficulties in the night and they tried to revive her but she was gone before the 911 team arrived. Please lift them up in prayer at this impossibly difficult time.

A voice in Rama was heard, lamentation and great mourning; Rachel bewailing her children, and would not be comforted, because they are not.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Also remember the Geis family. The mother/wife and two children shot and killed in their home on the 20th. I found out about this on another Catholic's blog. She sat behind this family in her parish and I believe the husband and three children are left to bear this heavy cross. So much suffering, and what is so terrible is that this was "evil" and yet, evil isn't spoken of as evil anymore. Our city of Omaha suffered such a shock last Dec. 5 when a lone 19 year old went on a shooting rampage at our Westroads Mall, and shot Christmas shoppers and then himself, such senseless crimes. So much injustice...making this joyous time also so hard to bear for others. I will remember this couple, TJ, at Mass and light a candle for them in our prayer room that's near Our Lady of Sorrows. She is the HOPE of us all...may she wrap this little one in her arms, hold her close to her heart and take her to the bosom of Jesus. Amen.
