Going To Haiti
On Sunday at 430 AM, we leave for JFK to head to Cap Haitien, Haiti. We will spend a week with the Missionaries of the Poor working in their medical clinic, AIDS hospice and long term care home as well as seeing to the medical needs of the children in their orphanage.
As always I ask for prayers for God's mercy on us, ability to get the meds through PAP airport without severe bribes, and health for the team and the ability to share God's love with our Haitian brothers and sisters. The best part of this trip is that we have the opportunity to live the prayer life with the brothers praying the Liturgy of the Hours throughout the day, Eucharistic Adoration, praying the rosary and greatest of all, daily Mass.
In Haiti during Lent, we experience Christ so intensely, both in the poor and in the Blessed Sacrament. There's nothing quite like it.
Thanks for your prayers.
