Crossed The Tiber

An Evangelical Converts to Catholicism

My Photo
Location: Pennsylvania, United States

I was born into the Catholic faith. At 14, I was "born again" and found Jesus personally but lost His Church. After thirty years as an evangelical protestant, I have come full circle to find that He has been there all the time, in the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. I wish others to find the beauty and truth of the Catholic faith as I have found.

The Digital Areopagus- The New Evangelization

Catholic blogger, author and speaker, Brandon Vogt continues to use the new digital media to share the truth. Check out A place for serious discussion between atheists and Catholic artists, theologians, writers and philosophers. At the Areopagus in Acts, Saint Paul preached to the intellectual elite and pagan philosophers. They responded to his preaching with this:  "you bring some strange notions to our ears; we should like to know what these things mean."  Our first pope, Saint Peter said to "always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect..."  The Strange Notions website is one such way to do just that. Give the site address to your friends and family who struggle with the big questions.

I hope the intellectual elite and pagan philosophers of our day respond as civilly to Brandon's initiative and explication of the Faith as did the folks in St. Paul's day!
