Crossed The Tiber

An Evangelical Converts to Catholicism

My Photo
Name:
Location: Pennsylvania, United States

I was born into the Catholic faith. At 14, I was "born again" and found Jesus personally but lost His Church. After thirty years as an evangelical protestant, I have come full circle to find that He has been there all the time, in the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. I wish others to find the beauty and truth of the Catholic faith as I have found.

St Paul Hated Denominations!

“If you read the first three chapters of first Corinthians, you will see that denominationalism was not just a scandal, but absolutely unthinkable and intolerable to Saint Paul because denominationalism is not the multiplying of a sub-division of an organization, it’s the amputation of limbs from an organism.”
--Peter Kreeft PhD, (Professor at Boston University and convert to Catholicism from Dutch Reformed)

I really think it is. With no offense to my solid devout protestant brothers, there is no chance their sects can survive the onslaught of the secularism and "anything goes" paradigm that has developed in the past 5oo years. Yes we have some heterodox liberal nuns and priests, but it will never change the infallible teachings of the faith. The Lord's table will remain the body and blood with no new interpretations. Marriage will remain between a man and woman. Contraception will always be gravely evil(which the reformers strongly proponed, but our protestant brothers don't accept)
LEt's pray for unity!

Protestantism dies with modernism which is the soil it lives in. There is still a lot of gardening left to do. Keep up the good work.
