Crossed The Tiber

An Evangelical Converts to Catholicism

My Photo
Name:
Location: Pennsylvania, United States

I was born into the Catholic faith. At 14, I was "born again" and found Jesus personally but lost His Church. After thirty years as an evangelical protestant, I have come full circle to find that He has been there all the time, in the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. I wish others to find the beauty and truth of the Catholic faith as I have found.

Goodbye and Godspeed to our Priests

Today is Transition Sunday in our diocese of Allentown, PA. Our pastor, Monsignor Hoban, said his last Sunday Mass today . He and our assistant pastor, Father Rich are leaving Tuesday. They will continue to be in our prayers. Please pray for our diocese.

St John Vianney, Cure of Ars, we ask you to intercede for our priests. Pray that God's grace will be made abundant to them in these difficult times ahead. In the name of the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

I will pray for them, for you, and for your whole diocese (my parents' diocese too).

I'll be up in Allentown area Friday night through Sunday morning; afterwards, I'm driving to Harrisburg for a Divine Liturgy and Slavonic-American festival.

Let me know if you're free on Saturday.

I'll be thinking of you too. I hope your new pastor will be a good one too.

My priest has about two years left and I know already it's going to be hard to see him go.
