Crossed The Tiber
An Evangelical Converts to Catholicism
About Me
- Name: Russ Rentler, M.D.
- Location: Pennsylvania, United States
I was born into the Catholic faith. At 14, I was "born again" and found Jesus personally but lost His Church. After thirty years as an evangelical protestant, I have come full circle to find that He has been there all the time, in the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. I wish others to find the beauty and truth of the Catholic faith as I have found.

Now that I know about EWTN's video feed, you can bet I'll be watching.
Benedicite!
That's great! I'll try to catch it on the EWTN website!
How Cool!! Prayers that the Holy Spirit will direct the conversation and touch many hearts. God bless!
How exciting! I love that show!
Prayers going up for you...(you'll do just fine)
You bet I'll be watching. And I'll be sure to offer up some prayers for you and PD as well.
Are you just going for the show or are you going to make a little pilgrimage of your trip?
We will get a tour of EWTN but will be coming back the next day so I suspect we won't have too much time.
Thanks so much for your prayers.

Will we be hearing any of your music on the program?
I don't think I'll be playing anything live, but then again, Marcus plays guitar so there may be some jamming off camera :)
Woot woot! Can't wait!
Russ,
Good luck today. Have a great time doing the show. You will be reaching the hearts and souls of people with your conversion story. I be praying for you.

Great program! Thank goodness for the internet because my local cable company dropped EWTN!
I'm honored to know you guys and I thank you for the encouragement you've given me on my own journey!
Watching now. Your journey touched our hearts. We too returned to the church in in the late 90's.
My husband and I loved the show. Thank you so much for sharing your story. I am praying for a young man who seemed to be a thoroughly committed Catholic, involved in the Church and alive in his faith, who is leaving because of his evangelical fiancee. Hearing your testimony gives me hope that he will one day return. God bless you both!
Thanks so much for your great witness! Really found it worthwhile and loved both of your senses of humor!
God bless you and the entire family.
I was making dinner when it was on but what I caught was compelling! Thanks for sharing!
You were great tonight on the Journey Home. God bless you and your wife.

Thank you for your witness on the Journey Home. I loved the way you told your "stories" with each perspectve interspersed. I will put your website on "favorites" and promise to check it regularly. Again, thank you.
