Crossed The Tiber

An Evangelical Converts to Catholicism

My Photo
Name:
Location: Pennsylvania, United States

I was born into the Catholic faith. At 14, I was "born again" and found Jesus personally but lost His Church. After thirty years as an evangelical protestant, I have come full circle to find that He has been there all the time, in the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. I wish others to find the beauty and truth of the Catholic faith as I have found.

Father Neuhaus is Gone

Father Richard John Neuhaus passed into eternity last night.

Into your hands, O Lord
we humbly entrust our brother

In this life you embraced him with your tender love;
deliver him now from every evil
and bid him enter eternal rest.

The old order has passed away:
welcome him then into paradise,
where there will be no sorrow, no weeping nor pain,
but the fullness of peace and joy
with your Son and the Holy Spirit
for ever and ever.

Amen.

I was struck by some of our similarities. I was also an evangelical christian that left the Catholic Church at age 14, but am now in the process of crossing the Tiber. Praise God for HIS CHURCH.

Hey Anon:
let me know if you need any help along the way. Have you found the Coming Home Networks online forum? It's a great asset for the journey because its moderated by Dave Armstrong and some very wise cradle Catholics as well. You might run into us there as well sometime. Check it out here God bless you!
