Crossed The Tiber

An Evangelical Converts to Catholicism

My Photo
Name:
Location: Pennsylvania, United States

I was born into the Catholic faith. At 14, I was "born again" and found Jesus personally but lost His Church. After thirty years as an evangelical protestant, I have come full circle to find that He has been there all the time, in the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. I wish others to find the beauty and truth of the Catholic faith as I have found.

Review of "Way to Emmaus"

Jeff Pinyan, Catholic blogger, author and catechist for the diocese of Metuchen has written a review of my new CD. Check it out here.

Russ! That was a really nice review and I think I couldn't say it better myself :)

Thank you so much for sharing this music with me... a real gift!

What is best about this to me, is hearing a man who has given me so much attention amidst my journey bear his heart. It is a heart that beats wildly for it's Creator, Redeemer and His Church.

Although your talent both at the craft of writing (music and lyric) and your undeniable ability to play SO WELL come through loud and clear... there is something else that I catch.

The humility that you have as a servant comes through with every note and chord. Simple and profound... beautiful.

I am proud of you brother. I am even more grateful for a dear friend like you... even though at a distance :)

Blessings and peace in Christ our Lord,
-g-

Thanks so much George. Those were very kind words and I only wish I could live up to them!
I feel like you were a part of the making of this CD, including your suggestions along the way after listening to my online demo versions.
God bless you, yes we will have to do something about that distance thing sometime! Halfway is probably sl. west of reading, and we should meet for coffee out that way sometime soon.
Thanks again for listening to the CD!

Russ, two comments:

First: small world. Does the name David Lozinger ring a bell? He'll be interviewing me for a podcast, hopefully next weekend.

Second: where in Emmaus is your CD release concert going to be? The same church gym that other concert was at?

Jeff:That's great! Indeed a small world and the Universal Church seems to make it smaller! we are involved with Dave in trying to get Catholic radio off the ground and into the air
in the LV. Deb is doing the newsletter for it.
Where is he going to make the podcast available?

Yes the concert is on south sixth street at St Ann's in the cafeteria
at 730 PM.
