Crossed The Tiber

An Evangelical Converts to Catholicism

My Photo
Name:
Location: Pennsylvania, United States

I was born into the Catholic faith. At 14, I was "born again" and found Jesus personally but lost His Church. After thirty years as an evangelical protestant, I have come full circle to find that He has been there all the time, in the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. I wish others to find the beauty and truth of the Catholic faith as I have found.

Do No Harm? Physicians Moving Away From the Oath

This is a must read article for anyone interested in medical ethics and  end of life issues. In this day and age of  necessary cost containment for health care, we should not view terminating life as a means to fiscal stability as Europe is doing. Unfortunately US physicians are drinking the purple koolaid of the assisted death crowd. Check this out here.  (H/t George at the Convert Journal)

If they want to be upfront about it, the UK (and other deathwish countries) should create licensed euthanasists, who would do the killing in a formalized, contractual way. This would keep the taint of death off of physicians who could go about the business of, you know, doing no harm. But that wouldn't suit the deathers: they want physicians to be able to kill a patient whether the patient chooses it or not.
